A Year of Relationship-Building and Growth

Our main focus this year has been building strong, personal relationships with each artist in our coalition. As we continue to support and represent a talented range of creatives, it’s not just about events—it’s about real connections. We believe that by investing in one another’s well-being and success, we all thrive together.

A highlight this year has been launching quarterly reports to track the mental health and return on investment each artist gains. These insights keep us grounded, ensuring that we’re supporting artists not only professionally but personally as well. Read them here on our blog to see how we’re measuring impact in real time.

How To Be Social is here to help artists succeed, whether it’s through gigs, brand-building, or guidance at every stage of their careers.

Get Involved in 2025!

In 2025, we’re bringing even more to the table with events across DFW, Texas, and beyond—eventually going international! I’m currently working on the lineup and would love to invite our community to take part. If you have a skill you’d like to share, we could use support with roles like door check-in, bouncers, cleanup, and media. Media passes are available, too!

This community is all about connecting, educating, and making an impact through art, mental health, and culture. If you’re passionate about these goals, reply to this post with your ideas on how we can make HTBS even better in 2025. And if you’d like to remain anonymous, feel free to DM me.

Let’s keep growing, learning, and creating magic together.

Looking Ahead

As we close out 2024, we're already planning for an even more impactful 2025. With new events, national and international partnerships, and more opportunities for artists, How To Be Social is excited to continue building a community centered around creativity, connection, and growth.

Join us as we step into the new year, and let’s keep pushing the boundaries of what art and community can achieve.

The Story

In 2017, we began with a small blog aimed at inspiring individuals to reach their full potential. This mission materialized in 2019 with our first HTBS event, "Succeed at Any Age," which attracted artists from diverse backgrounds. Since then, we’ve partnered with countless artists, teaching them essential business skills to help them generate income and thrive. Our efforts have garnered recognition and partnerships with brands like Mark Cuban, WeWork, Bumble, and Virgin Hotels.

Today, we carefully select artists based on the content of their character, emphasizing our core values of education, creation, and connection. At the heart of our work is a commitment to encouraging artists to embrace their creativity while fostering a supportive community. Together, we strive to build a healthier and wealthier social scene for all.

All of our artists are available for booking, with the exception of a few who are taking personal time for their overall well-being, which we wholeheartedly encourage. This focus on mental health ensures our artists can sustain their creativity and thrive in the long run. If you’re interested in hiring any of our artists, please reply to this email or reach out directly to Jewels at How To Be Social at howtobeSocialhtbs@gmail.com.

Looking ahead, we are excited to further develop the structure of How To Be Social and enhance our interactions with the larger world. We’re also focusing on music sessions at The Vault for intimate events or recordings, including submissions to Tiny Desk and similar platforms. Let’s work together to create unforgettable experiences!
