How to Be Social: A Journey of Growth and Gratitude
Hello Socialites,
As I sit down to pen this blog post, I am overwhelmed with gratitude as I reflect on the incredible journey of How to Be Social. What started as a small blog in 2017 has grown into a vibrant community that nurtures artists and entrepreneurs while prioritizing mental health.
I want to take you through our timeline, highlight our biggest wins, and express how thankful I am for everyone who has been part of this journey.
The Humble Beginnings
In 2017, I launched How to Be Social as a blog with a simple goal: to inspire individuals to reach their full potential. Little did I know, this would be the seed that would grow into a diverse community of creators, each passionate about their craft and their mental well-being. We welcomed entrepreneurs, speakers, musicians, painters, content creators, actors, dancers, digital artists, and photographers—essentially, anyone who had a story to tell and a dream to chase.
The First Big Win: "Succeed at Any Age" (2019)
2019 was a milestone year for us. We hosted our first event, "Succeed at Any Age," which attracted artists from all walks of life. It was a melting pot of creativity and passion, and it was here that the true spirit of How to Be Social came to life. This event marked the beginning of our mission to connect artists and entrepreneurs through educational resources, mentorship, and panels.
Building a Diverse Community
From the very start, we have been intentional about building a diverse group of creators. We believe that diversity enriches our community and fosters a more inclusive environment. This commitment has brought together a unique mix of talents, from musicians to digital artists, each contributing their unique perspective and experiences.
The Socialites Group Chat
One of the most exciting initiatives we launched was The Socialites Group Chat. This space became a haven for creators eager to grow their social media presence through authentic engagement and mutual support. The rules were simple: follow everyone, share posts, engage genuinely, and collaborate. The growth we have seen within this group has been phenomenal, both online and offline, as we support each other's events and projects.
Major Partnerships and Recognitions
Over the years, we have been fortunate to partner with brands and organizations that share our vision. Collaborations with Mark Cuban, WeWork, Bumble, and The Virgin Hotels have provided invaluable support and recognition. These partnerships have allowed us to expand our reach and provide even more resources to our community.
Investing in Artists
Our commitment to investing in artists has been unwavering. We provide resources, tools, and financial support to help our members thrive. Whether it's through social media projects, events, or housing, our goal is to create as many pathways to success as possible. We believe that when artists have the support they need, they can achieve greatness without compromising their mental health.
A Vision for the Future
Looking ahead, our vision remains clear: to continue creating educational resources and connecting artists and entrepreneurs. We want to ensure that every artist has the opportunity to succeed and that their mental well-being is never overlooked. Our yearly events calendar is packed with exciting projects, and we are always looking for new ways to support our community.
A Heartfelt Thank You
I am immensely grateful for every individual who has been part of How to Be Social's journey. Your passion, creativity, and dedication have made this community what it is today. To our core members, our partners, and everyone who has engaged with us over the years, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support and collaboration have been the driving force behind our success.
As we continue to grow and evolve, I invite you all to stay connected and engaged. Together, we can create a thriving community where artists and entrepreneurs can flourish, and mental health is always a priority.
In Everything Give Thanks,
